THIS year’s Milland Rural Fair was a big success, say organisers.
Sunday’s event was the 20th anniversary of the bi-annual event, which first took place in 1996.
To mark the special anniversary, this year’s fair was opened by Hugh Bonneville.
Fair spokesman Philip Watts said: “I think this year’s fair was probably the best one ever.
“About 3,000 people attended and we have had great feedback from everybody.
“It was a superb day and the weather made the running of the day much easier.
“Everyone had a warm feeling in more ways than one. The fair is a family day held at the end of half term, and there were lots of activities for all of the family.
“Milland Stores did cream teas and we had umpteen groups doing food and drink.
“About 150 people in the village helped with the running of the fair, and I would like to thank all of them.”
