AGE CONCERN Liphook has purchased a new nine-seater minibus after receiving various donations and grants.
The minibus has a rear tail lift and a side power step.
Sponsors included The Big Lottery Fund, Radian, Hampshire County Council, Bramshott and Liphook Parish Council, Liphook Junior School and Liphook Infant School.
Age Concern Liphook chairman Robin Young said: “Age Concern are thrilled to have been able to do this as now we can offer transport for the elderly and disabled, to enable them to be able to go to all the clubs and activities that Liphook offers.”

“We are aware that numbers are dropping at some of these because people cannot get there,” said Robin.
“This service will be run by volunteers who will drive and assist people as needed from their home to the activity.”
The areas covered by the minibus will be Conford, Passfield, Bramshott and Bramshott Chase, Hammer and Griggs Green, and Liphook.
Robin added: “We want this service to be of real benefit for the people of our parish, but for this to happen, as is so often the case, we really do need as many volunteer drivers and escorts as possible.
“So please, please come forward even if you feel you could only help on odd occasions. Our co-ordinators, Penny Leigh and Karen will be delighted to tell you more and/or arrange transport for you. They await your call.”
