A PETERSFIELD press photographer has just had his photos of a local church selected for the British Press Photographers’ Association annual Assignments exhibition in London.

The annual exhibition, which closed this year on Sunday (September 5), celebrates the best of press photography from association members.

Chris Gorman’s picture was of ‘the little church in the field,’ St Hubert’s at Idsworth near Rowlands Castle, and was taken at night with a drone.

He said: “My Miracle of St Hubert’s image was created by having the drone circle the church and then capturing the scene on a ground based camera with a four minute exposure. The church was further lit by me painting light with a torch.”

Chris of Ramshill freelances for the national press, but often donates drone photos to the Post.

This year’s exhibition covered stories from April 2019 through to the recent developments in the pandemic, and featured everything from sports and entertainment through to politics, countryside and buildings, protests, royals, celebrities and global events.
