SHELTERED housing complexes in Petersfield have ‘bin’ left with a load of rubbish despite alerting the council more than 20 times to their predicament.
Their anger at the overflowing wheelie bins came as East Hampshire District Council claimed its new waste contractor, Norse South East, was hitting 98 per cent of its targets.
At St Peters Court, site manager Debbie Harris said she had called the council more than 15 times about missed collections.
She added: “Our five bins need to be emptied every fortnight, otherwise they overflow.”
And at Burgesmede House resident Luciana Syperina said: “They haven’t been emptied, and smell badly.”
As the Post went to press on December 17 the council had not responded to queries about the missed collections.
