Money talks as an economist will be the guest speaker when a series of talks resumes to its traditional home in Petersfield town centre.

Charles Bevan will be leading the discussion when the Liberal Democrats bring their monthly programme of non-political talks back to One Tree Books.

Mr Bevan will give a talk on how economies develop, what factors are important, and the role and purpose of overseas aid from Britain.

There’s no questioning his numbers as the guest has special knowledge of development economics, with the meeting taking place from 2.30pm to 4pm upstairs at the Lavant Street shop.

The talk will be the first at the venue since the July fire forced the shop’s temporary move to Chapel Street.
