FROXFIELD and Privett Garden Club members rose to the challenge of the late spring’s wintry weather conditions to provide a colourful and varied spring show.
Despite the number of entries being down this year, the number of people entering exhibits for the show, held at Privett Village Hall on March 24, had increased.
Unsurprisingly, some of the horticultural classes suffered with none or few entries, but there were large numbers in the miniature daffodil and hellebore classes.
The cookery classes were well supported, particularly the chocolate sandwich cake.
The photography classes caught the imagination with beautiful pictures of Winter Woodland and a varied selection of Means of Transport.
Children from Froxfield Infant School, Rainbow Nursery and Privett Montessori contributed brightly coloured collages, pictures and Easter Tree Decorations.
This year’s president’s prize was won by Christine Stephens and there were 36 entry categories in total.
The club’s next show will be in August.
