Gilbert White’s House Museum in Selborne is holding a Mother and Daughter Sewing Day on Saturday, October 24.

Volunteer Frances Law has chosen a range of activities from bunting, to pillow cases, decorations or little friends to cherish; there is something for all ages and abilities.

Materials are all supplied and included in the price of the day, along with refreshments. Participants can take their own lunch, with a chance to enjoy it in the grounds or the 16th Century converted barn. They are also urged to take along their own sewing machines if possible and any basic sewing supplies (needles, scissors etc).

The day runs from 10am-3.30pm at Gilbert White’s Field Studies centre. Tickets are £30 for mother and daughter and are available from www.gilbertwhiteshouse.org.uk website or call 01420 511275.
