MOTORISTS are being advised by police to avoid the A34 from Winchester as it is closed in both directions at Bullington Cross after a fatal accident earlier today.
Traffic was struggling to keep moving due to the snowy conditions when the accident causing the death of a motorist happened, say police.
A police spokesman said: “We can now confirm a motorist has died following the collision.
Due to barrier damage Highways South East say the road is likely to remain closed until this evening, so please avoid area. Thanks for your patience.”
