ACCORDING to comedian, club host and promoter James Alderson: “Sometimes the summer feels too long to not have comedy.”
His answer is to invite his usual Comedy All Stars audience to move one junction up the A3 from their usual venue at Horndean to The Petersfield School’s – The Studio.
Headlining will be Paul Tonkinson, fresh from supporting Michael McIntyre on tour around the world – and Michael says: “He’s hilarious. Nobody makes me laugh like Paul Tonkinson.”
The middle section is going to be something special – James’ rising stars. Two comedians, who James has tipped for big things, doing shorter sets.
First is Jowan Mounsey, winner of South Coast Comedian of the Year 2018 – a competition James runs – then James Ellis, who won Spinnaker Tower Comedy Club Gong Show.
The opener is the character act of television warm up comedian Joe Bor. Joe warms up audiences for the likes of The Graham Norton Show and Mock The Week, but his comedic creation of famous posh boy explorer Jasper Cromwell-Jones is creating a stir on the comedy scene.
There is free parking, a bar and entry is £10 for the show, which is at 8pm this Friday (August 10).
