He also met residents and hailed the “dedication, compassion and teamwork” that led to the London Road home receiving the prestigious award.
The triumph marks a hat-trick of national awards for the home as previous accolades include Nurse of the Year and Housekeeper of the Year.
“This award belongs to every member of our team,” said the manager.
“We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved together, and it was an honour to have our local MP visit and recognise the hard work and dedication of our staff.”
