THIS year’s Spirit of Music Festival was a big success, said organisers.

The annual festival started on Friday, April 28, and finished on Sunday, May 7.

Most of the festival was held in Liss, with events at St Mary’s Church, St Peter’s Church and the Triangle, as well as St Peter’s Church in Petersfield. This year’s event was the fourth festival, and it combined workshops and performances.

Artistic director and co-founder of the Spirit of Music Festival Sara Struntz-Timossi said: “The festival all went really well and we had a great variety of concerts.

“There was a good mix of different styles of music.

“The aim of the festival is to inspire the community to make music, and to bring the community together through music. These aims have both been reached.

“The festival is not for profit and we are really grateful for our sponsors.

“This festival is organised by the people for the people.”
