OLIVIER Award winner Clive Rowe is to join choirs across Hampshire and Surrey for a charity gala in Petersfield.
The musical theatre actor, who won the Olivier for a supporting role in the National Theatre’s revival of Guys and Dolls in 1997, is the guest star at the event at the Festival Hall on Sunday, June 26.
He will join choirs from The Choir Company – from Petersfield, Farnham, Headley, Emsworth and other area, on stage in the evening of song.
This is in aid of Paula Mailard, a friend of Meon Valley-based dancer and choreographer Chloe Bell who is the general manager of The Choir Company.
Paula suffered a huge aneurysm 15 years ago and needs her home adapted as well as the help of specialists.
There may be other special guests at the gala, alongside Clive, who is best known for his role as Norman ‘Duke’ Ellington in TV children’s drama The Story of Tracey Beaker.
Tickets are £12, available from e-mail [email protected] or call 01730 829948.
