Petersfield Museum’s extensive photographic archive holds more than 100,000 photos of life in Petersfield and surrounding villages.

With some of them dating as far back as the Victorian period, these photos represent all aspects of life in Petersfield and act as a window into the Petersfield of days gone by.

Sometimes we will come across a mystery photo that we really can’t place and the notes accompanying it don’t match the picture, just like this one.

The photographer’s notes associated with the image are ‘Diocesan choirs at St Peter’s’ – however, this description does not seem to fit the picture.
