PETERSFIELD district Cub Scouts enjoyed a Native American-style camp in glorious summer weather at a site near Cobham.

In teams, they built a camp complete with wigwam, and they also made traditional flour by grinding maize, and used it to make maize cakes, cooked over the embers of a fire. They then tried archery, made dream catchers and learnt about Indian symbols and tracking.

Petersfield district Cub Scout leader Melanie Robinson said: “It was an extremely busy and enjoyable weekend with all the Cubs having opportunities to try new things and meet new people.”
