Members of the 2nd Alton Boys’ Brigade received a £450 grant from East Hampshire District Council, through Alton councillor Graham Hill, towards their Duke of Edinburgh Award efforts.
The grant enabled the group to buy two expedition tents and a rucksack, replacing a 15-year-old kit.
Cllr Hill said: “The Duke of Edinburgh Award is an excellent programme and I am pleased to again support the 2nd Alton Boys Brigade to help young people in Alton to achieve this award.”
