IT’S THE start of a new season at The Phoenix Theatre and Arts Centre in Bordon with a revamped website, extended parking and an autumn-winter season brochure on the shelves.
Starting this month, a new programme of theatre, comedy, music and films begins alongside a variety of workshops and classes for all ages and abilities.
Comedy highlights include star of BBC1’s Live at the Apollo Andrew Lawrence with his gag- packed show about coming to terms with fatherhood and Ellie Taylor’s coveted Edinburgh Fringe sell-out show of 2016 This Guy.
Rob’s Phoenix Theatre Club continues, which aims to bring ground-breaking, challenging, and high-quality theatre.
On September 16, audiences are invited to celebrate the opening of The Phoenix’s new event space – The Playground – an outdoor theatre space which can seat up to 200 people.
Suitable for all the family, a barbecue hosted by the 1st Liss Scouts will accompany a performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream by the world’s first cycling theatre company, The Handlebards.
The new season also includes a variety of family and children’s theatre shows, plus community craft and dance workshops.
