A WEBPAGE which will give Hampshire residents the lowdown on future road repairs and closures has been launched.

The Elgin system is “a winner” according to Marge Harvey as the Rowlands Castle councillor tried it out last month.

She said: “For me, it seems a very good tool.

“It will be able to tell you exactly what is happening on the roads in your village, including works being done by utility companies.

“It will also tell you what is due to happen in the future, so instead of having to wait for me to ask the questions and get back to you, you can find out instantly.”

The webpage, which can be accessed through smartphones and tablets, can also be used to report potholes.
