A MAN who was arrested in connection with an alleged firearms incident in Petersfield will not face any charges.
A 34-year-old man, from Waterlooville, was arrested in August by police investigating claims than a gunman chased a pair of teenagers across open land at The Avenue.
The man was initially arrested on suspicion of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent and possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
An appeal for witnesses was also launched but police confirmed last week that no further action will be taken against the arrested man.
Meanwhile, the alleged stabbing of a 16-year-old boy on Yorkwood, Liss, on July 29, is now being investigated as an assault with injury, rather than attempted murder.
