NOMINATIONS are being sought for an East Hampshire event which recognises and rewards the district’s top volunteers.

Old Thorns in Liphook will witness a “celebration of volunteering” on November 8 when it hosts the East Hampshire Volunteer Awards.

The event, organised by Community First and East Hampshire District Council (EHDC), will recognise the time, energy and enthusiasm of volunteers who make such a difference to residents.

Any group or organisation in the voluntary and community sector in the district can make a nomination with the deadline being 5pm on October 2. The award categories are: young volunteer of the year, small team of the year, large team of the year, unsung hero, special commendation and lifetime achievement.
