As it happens, we know all their names, which are written on the back of the picture but we don’t know which club where they were members.
It’s probably somewhere in the north-east of the Post’s circulation area as the logo on the shirts is for Gillett and Holden, a kitchen appliances and repairs company based in Haslemere.
The players are (front left to right): John Thomas, Ricky Shaw, Edwin Keith, Richard Scurr and Wayne Smith.
