AUTHOR Ron Stone has been delighted to receive a personal note from the Duchess of Cornwall in praise of his book of reminiscences about West Meon.
The duchess, who used to visit the home of her grandmother, Sonia Cubitt, in the village, said West Meon Remembered brought back happy memories.
For anyone wanting to read what pleased the duchess, Ron will be signing copies of the book at West Meon Stores tea room on April 20 from 4pm-6pm.
They are also on sale at the Petersfield Post’s office, West Meon Stores, the Thomas Lord pub in the village where Ron’s family lived for many years, the Angel Inn at Privett and the bookshop in Market Street, Alton.
