THIS picture of central Liss is likely to bring back some memories, although we don’t know when it was taken but probably in the 1990s.
The station and railway line is recognisable across the top of the picture with Station Road going over the level crossing.
In the centre, between Mill Road and Rake Road is the original village school, which is now the popular community centre, Liss Triangle.
On the west side of Rake Road is the later school building, with single storey classrooms around its playground, the site of which has now been replaced by housing.
The prominent building off Rake Road near the bottom of the picture is the Royal British Legion branch hall.
