A LANGRISH charity which helps re-home Syrian refugee families in East Hampshire is hosting an art sale, with local and London artists donating a third of every sale price to the cause.

Some have shown in the National Portrait Gallery, others are recognised screen print designers, wildlife artists, illustrators and sculptors.

Joint Rural Refugee Network (RRN) founder Julia Waugh-Thistleton, of Bordean House, said: “I’m blown away by the generosity of the artists donating such a huge chunk of their sales.”

Alison Crowther, of Trotton, carves sculptures from ancient English oak.

She said: “RRN is a local response to an international crisis and I wanted to show my support.”

The free entry sale at Bordean House is from 6pm to 9pm, on June 15.
