PARENT and toddler group Open Door has celebrated its 20th anniversary.

The group was started in 1997 by a small group of friends who lived in and around Liss.

After starting in the annexe at the Triangle Centre, the group expanded to include the hall, and last year it moved into two large rooms with the addition of an outdoor courtyard.

Last Friday’s birthday celebrations included crafts, toys, cake and farm animals from Mill Cottage Farm Experience in Holybourne.

Open Door is a non-profit organisation which is run by Ellie Cope, Karen Lowe and Susie Hoffman, and founder Daphne Elsom. About 55 people attend per week, and there is a charge of £1 per family, per session to cover refreshment costs.
