‘LANDSCAPE Reflections‘ an evolving exhibition of works by artist and landscape architect Paul J Best, will be on show at the theatre at the Queen Elizabeth Country Park centre until May 28.
The exhibition will feature original paintings inspired by the Hampshire landscape.
Paul studied landscape architecture at Cheltenham College of Art and fine art at the Southampton Institute and has practised as a landscape architect in Hampshire for the past 25 years.
Paul has rediscovered his passion for painting in recent years and his paintings are now held in collections across the United Kingdom as well as in the United States, Switzerland and Australia. He is selling works online and through a number of Hampshire-based art galleries and shops.
Landscape Reflections features works created in acrylic paints with the distinctive incorporation of reflective paints used to capture and reflect light in the works. The effect created changes at different times of day with the changing light conditions. The paintings are often heavily textured incorporating pastes, sand and gold leaf.
