IT WILL be a sea of camouflage fatigues as the mighty Overlord Military Spectacular descends once more on Denmead this Bank Holiday weekend.
With 300 vehicles, mostly from the Second World War, 500 re-enactors and 100 trade stalls, as well as all-day arena action, the event has become one of the world’s premier destinations for military vehicle enthusiasts.
The show, which has been going for 40 years, now attracts international exhibitors, and many visitors from all over the UK and abroad who immerse themselves in the thrilling living history attractions for all the family.
With the removal of Second World War studies and the holocaust from the educational syllabus in this country, show organisers believe it is important to keep educating people about past conflicts.
The show, on from tomorrow (Saturday) to Monday, at The Lawns, is open from 9.30am to 5.30pm. The event is supporting Scotty’s Little Soldiers.
