A TALK about the impact that palm oil production is having on tropical areas will be given at The Petersfield School (TPS) this Saturday.
The ‘Palm oil: friend or foe of the environment?’ presentation which campaigner Karen Brand will give in The Studio will be co-hosted by Catherine Daley, of Carbon6, and some TPS students who are heading to Borneo later this month.
The speaker has lived in Singapore and volunteered with a group against the burning of Indonesian forests. The presentation will begin at 6pm and tickets are £10 for adults and £7.50 for children aged 10 to 17.
