SHOPPERS may have to use alternative car parks in Petersfield town centre next week due to essential repairs.

Parts of the Central car park will be closed from next Monday, August 14 to the following Tuesday to allow pothole repairs.

East Hampshire District Council workers will try to minimise disruption but have warned the work will make some spaces in the main car park unavailable.

Motorists have been encouraged to use their car parks at Festival Hall, Swan Street and Castle Yard in the meantime.
