THE CENTENARY of Lions Clubs International was celebrated at Winton House in High Street, Petersfield, on Saturday.
The event, organised by Petersfield Lions Club, was opened by East Hampshire MP?Damian Hinds.
Free refreshments were offered and there was music in the garden from Petersfield Ukulele Band and a string quartet from Churcher’s College.
Guests included Petersfield’s deputy mayor Hilary Ayer and Lions district governor David Taylor.
Enthusiastic volunteers from Petersfield Police Cadets helped out, and members and guests enjoyed a celebration cake. Petersfield’s David Weeks donned his sparkly blue suit to help make the event a special one.
