Petersfield is set to party with a fair and festival getting July off to a glorious start.

Hundreds will go back to school this weekend as the Petersfield Community Fair will take place at Churcher’s College from 10am to 2pm this Sunday.

And there’s more of the same the following week with the Half Moon Festival in aid of the Rosemary Foundation kicking off in Sheet next Tuesday (July 14).

The community fair has become of Petersfield’s biggest summer events with businesses, charities, families and performers coming together for “a vibrant day of entertainment and community spirit”.

There will be live performances throughout the day at the free event, with the Churcher’s College Dance Squad, Herne Junior School, Petersfield Rock Choir, TPS, Petersfield Theatre Group, James Joe and Perersfield Academy of Dance all taking to the stage.

The 2026 Half Moon Summer Festival will begin just over a week later with five “incredible days of live music, delicious food and summer celebration” being served up.

The festival will follow the tried-and-tested format with swing, jazz and a theatrical celebration by CCADS on Tuesday, and Encore Choirs treating revellers to a night at the opera the following evening.

Things get acoustic on Thursday with Black Cherry Jam and Super 8 taking to the stage, while The Boost Button, Rehab Blues and GT Steel will deliver “big party energy” and classic hits on Friday.

Then there’s jazz, folk, blues and a high-energy finale on Friday with Ukes of Hazard, Petersfield Rock Choir, Fate of the Magpie, Chloe & Tom, The Happy Now, Shedload, The Vagabonds and Ken Wood & the Mixers performing on Saturday, more at /www.entertainment-events.co.uk
