The Phoenix Community Choir once again proved its talent and passion for music with its highly successful free summer concert held on a sunny afternoon on June 29.

Held at the beautiful Phoenix Theatre in Bordon, it was a true testament to the power of music in bringing people together and lifting spirits.

The Phoenix Community Choir, known for its dedication and commitment to creating harmony among its members, was this year celebrating ten years under the leadership of Ysanne Bonner, also known as Issi.

With singers from all backgrounds and varying levels of experience, the choir’s strength lies in its ability to work as a team to blend voices and hearts, creating a heartwarming experience for the audience.

In addition to them singing together, the concert also featured several solo performances from some of the choir’s members.

The support and encouragement for each other from the choristers and conductor highlighted the strong sense of camaraderie within the group.

A spokesperson said: “This was not just a musical event; it was a celebration of unity, love and the joy of creating music together.

“The bond between the choir members was evident in the smiles that adorned their faces as they sang in perfect harmony.

“The event was met with resounding applause and as the choir took their final bow, there was a sense of pride and accomplishment that radiated from each member.

“In conclusion, the Phoenix Community Choir’s summer concert was a resounding success that showcased the power of music to unite, inspire and create lasting memories.

“The concert served as a reminder of the incredible impact that community-driven artistic endeavours can have on people’s lives, leaving the audience eagerly awaiting their next performance.”

The Phoenix Community Choir is a welcoming, friendly and fun place to enjoy singing a mixture of songs from all over the world, unaccompanied and in harmony.

It is based at the Phoenix Theatre and the cost is £50 per term. The new term starts on September 21 from 2pm to 4pm.

The spokesperson added: “The Phoenix Community Choir is open to all and is a great place to come to make friends and sing with others who just love to sing.
