A performance by Chapter and Verse of ’Jane Austen: a woman of her time - and ours?’ will take place in the Learning Centre at Jane Austen’s House Museum in Chawton on September 19 at 2pm.

The group of amateur actors will perform readings, poetry and dramatic sketches, ranging from the amusing to the poignant and thought-provoking.

Proceeds from their performance - priced £7 - go towards supporting the Winchester Churches Nightshelter which offers temporary accommodation to homeless people in Hampshire.
