A NEW walk-to-school scheme has been launched in Petersfield.
Schools across the district are being encouraged to start up Park and Stride walking groups, giving children a safe alternative to the usual school run in a car.
The latest scheme was set up by Herne Junior School in Love Lane. Permits have been issued to parents allowing them to park behind the Festival Hall in Heath Road. They can either walk with their children along the riverside path or drop them off to walk with friends.
