EAST Hampshire District Council’s (EHDC) animal welfare team has established itself as one of the best in the UK after winning three gold medals for animal care.

RSPCA Community Animal Welfare judges assessed the team on animal welfare issues before awarding the medals.
EHDC animal welfare officer Jen Rowberry said: “We work very hard to ensure the animals are well cared for and protected.”
The Borough of Lambeth was the only other council in the country to win three gold medals.
