THE PETERSFIELD Save the Children charity big sale looks likely to raise more than £25,000 for disadvantaged children all over the world, including the UK.

More than 120 volunteers helped run the three day sale in Petersfield Festival Hall, visited by East Hampshire MP Damian Hinds and Petersfield Mayor James Deane.

Cllr Deane said: "Once again privileged to visit to a fund a raiser with some really professional volunteers, it was an excellent job with excellent management. Well done.”

Chairman of the Petersfield branch Gordon Barker said: “Some of the volunteers even booking their holidays so that they can be there. We would like to thank our sponsors, which include Britannia Reeves, Travis Perkins, Contract Candles, LittleJohn Bathrooms, Richard C. Arnold opticians, Williams of Petersfield estate agents, and Tesco. £

Next year’s sale will be held from April 19 to April 21 2018.
