IT WAS coffee and cake at Petersfield Community Centre as centre users helped raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Scores of people turned out to have a cuppa and a chat for the Macmillan Biggest Coffee Morning at the event in the community centre in Love Lane.
Organiser Penny Blois said: “It is the first time we’ve done it here.
“It’s amazing because we’ve had about ten people make cakes for us and so many people from Hope Church have come today to support the cause. If you do one bit of charity, you’ll often find that you do quite a few more"
Macmillan volunteer Mark Nelson added: “It’s such a worthwhile charity, and there are so many people here to support. So many people here also help with save the children and are from the Hope Church, so it is so nice to see the two connected."
