TICKETS are on sale for the annual fundraising firework display in Petersfield.
Organised for the past 24 years by Petersfield Round Table, the 2014 firework extravaganza with music raised about £8,000 for groups and charities.
Round Table treasurer Tom North said: “After last year’s record-breaking event, we are aiming to make this year’s display bigger and better than ever.”
Once again, the firework fiesta will be held on Bell Hill recreation ground, and the gates, food stand and bar open at 5.30pm.
Tom said: “The bar will be selling beers, ales and mulled wine, and The Plump Duck eaterie on Petersfield Heath will have a hot food stand selling hot dogs and crepes.”
The huge bonfire will be lit about 6.30pm, and the first firework will explode in the evening sky around 7pm.
Tickets for the display on November 7 are on sale at One Tree books in Lavant Street, the tourist information desk at the library or via the www.petersfieldfireworks.co.uk website.
Adult tickets cost £7 in advance, £8 on the night, children £4, £5 on the night, and family tickets (two adults/ two children) cost £15, or £20 on the night. Children under five get in free.
