A PETERSFIELD removals company has been praised for its help in moving a charity.
Colwin Removals of Bedford Road cut their fees to help the charity Tending, Listening, Comforting (TLC) move to new offices, after developers Orchard Grove Asset Management decided to convert the first floor offices into affordable housing flats.
TLC provides hospice at home care across Surrey, parts of Sussex, and Hampshire, particularly around Bordon, Petersfield, Liss and South of Butser.
The charity was based in offices in Bordon Forest Centre, but is now sharing some office space with another Bordon charity, Furniture Helpline, in Hampshire Road.
East Hampshire district councillor for Whitehill Sally Pond also helped with the move.
TLC spokesman Jenny Croucher said: “She jumped in to help out with some Councillor Community Grant funding to cover the charity’s moving costs, and wished us well.”
She added that the charity would also like to thank Colwin’s for their help and generosity.
TLC is now looking for help with funding, now three years of funding from Big Lottery has come to an end.
