PETERSFIELD residents have been urged to support a bid to clean up the town’s streets.
The litter pick which The Petersfield Society will hold this Sunday is a “big one” as volunteers are aiming to tackle the whole town.
But you need a lot of people to carry out a big job so extra hands will be welcome when the clean-up begins at 2pm at St Peter’s Hall. All equipment will be provided while the litter pick will be followed by tea and a talk by deputy leader of East Hampshire District Council Julie Butler on the council’s strategy for reducing litter.
The event should finish around 5pm while volunteers will be able to collect litterpicking sticks, high-vis jackets and gloves from organiser Beth Svarovska by sending her an e-mail at: [email protected]
