Keeping Hampshire and Surrey's roads moving over ChristmasVisitors at the community fair were entertained by live music and had the chance to have a go at Scrabble, painting, bridge, embroidery and more. They could find sanctuary in the Petersfield Stroke Support Group’s garden outside the centre which has just won silver in the Petersfield In Bloom awards.
Advice on stroke prevention and support was given out too. The event was also showcasing the centre as a hub used by around 70 groups a month including the stroke support group.
The Stroke Association charity estimates there are more than 4,000 people in Hampshire who have a stroke each year, and around 36,000 people living with the effects of the condition caused by a clot or bleeding in the brain.
