THE? BUILD-up to the referendum may have made some people feel like leaving the country.

But this could actually be as good a time as any to book a holiday, travel experts in Petersfield say.

It was difficult to predict what any long-term effects of leaving the European Union would be, but people would always want to go on holiday, according to Ed Texier, marketing manager at Meon Valley Travel.

“Although there may be a short term effect on spending patterns, it is our duty, and pleasure, to find the right product to suit every budget,” he explained.

There had been negligible customer concerns about the fall-out of the referendum.

“There may be some concern relating to a potential increase in holiday prices, which would only put us in a positive position as travel agents can help find the best deals. Now is probably as good a time as any to book your holiday.”
