FEW THINGS are better than a dip in the pool when the heat is on.

So Petersfield residents may be relieved to read that the swimming pool in the Taro Centre is due to re-open this Saturday having been closed since June 25 for essential repairs.

There will also be an ‘improved environment’ in the pool hall as its air handling unit has been replaced as part of a £2.8m refurbishment of the centre.

“The date was set to ensure the pool will be back open in time for the summer holidays, when lots of additional aquatic activities are planned at the centre,” said Everyone Active contract manager James Bowden.
