HOW LIBRARIES are the hub of the community was demonstrated on Saturday with visitors packing out the Petersfield one.

To celebrate National Libraries Day there were children’s stories and activities, a quiz, free refreshments, information on the range of services and events there, and a fun selfie photo booth.

Staff, including assistant manager Andy Baker, were on hand to chat to visitors. “We were really, really pleased how it went,” he said.
