A PETERSFIELD man is leading an attempt to complete the gruelling Trailblazer Challenge.
Robert Bennett is heading the team called ‘Strolling under the Influence,’ which will be taking on the charity fundraising 100km walk that has to be finished in just over a day.
To successfully complete the walk along the South Downs, the determined group has to cover the distance in 30 hours or less.
The event starts at Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Petersfield and finishes at Brighton Racecourse in East Sussex and raises money for The Gurkha Welfare Trust and Oxfam.
Mr Bennett said: “This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for us to do this together.
“We’ve all had to take time away from our families, work and commitments to train for this so we’ll be giving it our best shot.”
The Trailwalker Challenge will take place over the weekend of July 29-30. To sponsor the team visit their fundraising page at: www.justgiving.com/companyteams/strollingundertheinfluence, or donate £10 by texting SUTI65 £10 to 70070.
