PETERSFIELD Photographic Society held a successful exhibition at the Triangle on Saturday, say organisers.
Entry to the black and white photography exhibition was free, and it was followed by a screening of the documentary Finding Vivian Maier.
Petersfield Photographic Society president Peter Timney said: “The exhibition went extremely well and we had a relatively constant stream of people coming into the exhibition.
“People were very complimentary about the photographs, and some people commented how nice it was to see black and white photographs, which are not common these days.
“Quite a few people went to the exhibition and then watched the film, so we had a good turnout for both.
“The exhibition was inspired by Vivian Maier, who was known for her street photography in New York and Chicago, although we weren’t emulating her.
“Refreshments were provided by the Triangle all day, so people were able to come in for coffee and cake and then go to the exhibition.
“It was a joint venture between the photographic society and the Triangle, and it was a very good day overall.”
