JUBILATION has met the appeal decision not to allow 230 new homes to be built at The Causeway in Petersfield.
A government inspector has thrown out the controversial plan and says he very much hoped sites like these would never be developed.
It would have a "substantial and harmful impact on the character and appearance of the surrounding area," ruled Graham Dudley.
The refusal of the appeal by Barratt Homes, Bovis Homes and 4LL, also has been welcomed as "great news" by the South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA).
