POLICE have responded to issues raised by Petersfield residents in an online survey aimed at helping set policing priorities in the area for the next three months.

The feedback was assessed alongside crime trends and intelligence to identify issues to be addressed by the Petersfield Local Neighbourhood Policing Team (PNPT).

In Petersfield reports of non-dwelling burglaries had dropped, however the issue remains a priority and officers will continue to offer advice and support to local businesses to prevent them from becoming victims.

A police spokesman said: “Criminal damage was also identified as an area of concern and more reports have been received in recent months, and this issue will be addressed by local officers.

“Anti-social behaviour was also identified by our survey and Petersfield’s NPT will target known hotspots to continue to prevent and deter unwanted behaviour.”

Sergeant Phil Shore based at Petersfield Police Station in St Peters Road said: "I’m pleased that the local community has helped to shape our policing priorities for the next three months. It’s important that our local Neighbourhood Policing Teams receive feedback like this to ensure we are addressing the issues that affect you. I’d like to see even more people take part next time we carry out this survey in March, so that everyone get’s to have their say".
