MORE?THAN 200 Petersfield District Beavers, Cubs and Scouts and leaders and families walked to the top of Butser Hill with flags flying to celebrate St George's Day.

Members from Petersfield, Liphook, Liss, Sheet, and East and West Meon took part in the event to honour the patron saint of Scouting.

At the top they sang campfire songs, renewed their Scouting promise and heard a short address by district chaplain the Rev Will Hughes.

He said ignoring those in need, cruelty, bullying and rudeness, could all be considered the actions of a 'dragon' and that members of the Scout movement should follow St George's lead in trying to 'slay' them....
