A PETERSFIELD woman who had her hair shorn for charity has given the 18-inch plait to be made into wigs for children suffering cancer.
Natalie Gosden (36) had her waist-length hair cut to collar length to raise money for Cancer Research.
Natalie works for Petersfield charity FitzRoy in Hylton Road, which supports adults with learning difficulties. She said: “For more than 15 years I have been growing my hair, but after difficult consideration and deliberation I decided it’s time to get my hair cut.
“The money raised will go straight to Cancer Research, a fantastic charity working hard to find cures for cancer every day.” Natalie, who is also a make up artist, had the big cut at the John Carne hair salon in Guildford.
Natalie has now donated the plait cut from her head to the Little Princess Trust, where it will be made into a wig.
She added: “My hair was chopped off up to my shoulders and it will be made into a wig for children who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other therapies.”
Natalie has smashed the £1,000 Cancer Research target she set but she is still fundraising. To support her, visit www.justgiving.com/fundraising/natalie-gosden
