REMEMBRANCE Poppies crocheted by a member of St Laurence Catholic Church In Petersfield have proved popular during Poppy Appeal week.

Kristina Lloyd only learned how to crochet last year while on holiday in Indonesia. During Poppy week she helped Petersfield Royal British Legion secretary David Lloyd, an RAF veteran, sell traditional paper poppies and her crocheted ones.

Kristina, a cook at Stroud Nursing Home, said: “There was a lot of interest in my poppies, and we hope we have raised a lot of money.”
